Get Felting again
So much has changed in the past few months.  Catching up on unfinished felting projects and experimenting with new ideas has kept me motivated.  Workshop are still something to think about but when is a completely different matter.  But writing Felting Tutorials has proved interesting, to say the least.  At the moment these are being advertised on my monthly Newsletter along with wonderful photos of felting from my lovely ladies.  If you would like to know more and would like to sign up – just drop me a line and say you would like to join my Get Felt mailing list.
The tutorials are for beginners and so far include “Wet Felting Bead Balls”, making a Rice Filled Felting Pad, and “Wet Felting Twizzles”

The Coronavirus is affecting everyone

felting tutorialsThese are ghastly troubling times, so the workshop schedule has been postponed until much later in the year. Everyone is monitoring events which are changing daily. Workshops are the last thing on anyone’s mind, but felting is a great way to relieve stress. So if you have the wool, a Felting needle and sponge, or simple soap and water, getting creative with wool is a wonderful way to unwind.
Keep safe. Keep well.

Parliament of Owls

Holiday time has arrived, but felting will always be here. July workshops are an Essential Needle Felting Class, Wet Felting Beads, the last Panda workshop for this year and Needle Felting an Owl onto purse, making something useful into something very special. But I have also added 3 Poppy Workshop in September. Really looking forward to these.

Pandas this summer

The 3 Essential Workshops in February really got me enthused, and were so enjoyable. Teaching and inspiring people how to get started with Needle Felting is absolutely wonderful. And when the new recruits then enroll into another workshop – whoa, what a result!

I am currently working on some new ideas and will soon be introducing a round the world theme, starting with a Needle Felted Panda, then a Koala Bear and I would also love to do a crocodile too at some point.

It’s cold so keep needle felting

needle felt owls

I have been busy needle felting, and working on a new range of Owls for Rye’s Handmade.  Needle felting these little owls has been great fun, although I must admit I have never seen a Purple one.

The workshops for February and March have been filling up so fast.  Thank you to everyone who has booked into them already.  I will be shortly be adding more for the following 3 months, so please check back in soon.

Busy Needle Felting

Wool Beret with needle felted design

I have tried to be organised for 2019 and needle felt everything needed for my new felting workshops this year.
Have I been successful?  No, but I have been thinking about a new Embellish your Beret Workshop.  What do you think?

The Felting for Beginners Workshops will start in February with 2 or 3 to get the year going.  It will be great to meet some new people who I hope will become felting enthusiasts like me.

Felting for Beginners

Get Felting for Beginners

Starting with the Essential Needle Felting for Beginners, this workshop will set you up for all of my others.  These Hearts are examples of one of my workshops held in 2018.  I was very proud of the work, and even prouder when they returned for further felting workshops.

The Essential Needle Felting for Beginners workshops will be held monthly.

Needle Felting is AMAZING

Needle felting is AMAZING.

The number of things you can create by stabbing a special felting needle into a handful of wool is unbelievable and once you get started you will never want to stop.

For a number of years now I have been teaching small groups of people this wonderful skill.  Many cannot believe how much they achieve during a half day workshop.  This makes me carry on.  As well as inspiring people, they inspire me and I love coming up with unusual things for them to needle felt.
We also wet felt small items.  Many would love to wet felt scarves, but more space and more tables are needed, which I don’t have.

If you would like to me inspired and learn how to create woolly things, please check out the Workshop pages and contact me to join  one – soon.
