Felting Workshops, Felt 'Objets' and commissions.
Get Felting again So much has changed in the past few months. Catching up on unfinished felting projects and experimenting with new ideas has kept me motivated. Workshop are still something to think about but when is a completely different matter. But writing Felting Tutorials has proved interesting, to say the least. At the moment these are being advertised on my monthly Newsletter along with wonderful photos of felting from my lovely ladies. If you would like to know more and would like to sign up – just drop me a line and say you would like to join my Get Felt mailing list. The tutorials are for beginners and so far include “Wet Felting Bead Balls”, making a Rice Filled Felting Pad, and “Wet Felting Twizzles”
These are ghastly troubling times, so the workshop schedule has been postponed until much later in the year. Everyone is monitoring events which are changing daily. Workshops are the last thing on anyone’s mind, but felting is a great way to relieve stress. So if you have the wool, a Felting needle and sponge, or simple soap and water, getting creative with wool is a wonderful way to unwind.Keep safe. Keep well.
Christmas is coming and this years seasonal workshops have already begun with Wet Felting Soaps and the first Skiing Mouse. Still to come are more Mice, Tomtes and Christmas brooches – a Robin and a Snowman. The Essential Workshops for Beginners start on Friday 31st January, followed by Saturday 8th February. A great way to start the new year, learning new skills.
Parliament of Owls Holiday time has arrived, but felting will always be here. July workshops are an Essential Needle Felting Class, Wet Felting Beads, the last Panda workshop for this year and Needle Felting an Owl onto purse, making something useful into something very special. But I have also added 3 Poppy Workshop in September. Really looking forward to these.
Wet Felting Beads This year is flying by – so much to do and so little time to do it in. The workshops are also whizzing by, and new ones being added every month. I am repeating a workshop from a couple of years ago, as a number of people would really like to do it – Wet Felting Millefiori Beads. The excitement of slicing your “cigar” after all of the felting has been done is nerve racking for everyone as you really do not know what your beads will look like until then.Great fun though, and once you know how to do it you will want to make more and more. A fun fun fun workshop to hold.
